DENISE POUDRIER NORMANDIN, RD, LD, MA, DipACLM; CEO & FOUNDER
As the Founder and CEO of Enlighten Nutrition & Wellness, LLC, I focus on a foundation of supportive, healthy living approaches including: nutrition, physical movement, stress management, rest, and social support systems. Using this methodology, it is our goal to empower individuals in their wellness journey so they can regain control of their health and live life to the fullest!
Throughout my career, I have directed and implemented several nationally recognized evidence/research-based health improvement and wellness programs across multiple settings, worksites, healthcare sites and community sites. I have been invited to present my work at annual scientific conferences including, the American Journal of Health Promotion-Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the American Heart Association Workplace Health Solutions Conference.
I currently serve as the vice-chair of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine-Registered Dietitian Member Interest Group and on the American Heart Association-New Hampshire Board of Directors and provide expertise and volunteer services to projects that support building healthier communities.
I achieved a Master of Arts degree from Plymouth State University in Personal and Organizational Wellness with a concentration in Personal Approaches to Transformation and Healing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Colorado State University. While at Colorado State, I completed practical nutrition experiences with the CSU Rams Division I football team (coached by Sonny Lubick) and the Poudre Valley Hospital cardiac rehabilitation programs. Prior to transferring to CSU, I was a member of the Keene State College field hockey team. I completed my dietetic internship requirements at Keene State College.
I am most passionate about inspiring nutrition and healthy living practices that make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities to LIVE WELL! With that said, I have been a volunteer girls youth lacrosse coach for the Lakes Region Lacrosse Club for 10 years; inspiring young female athletes to embrace the love of the game, the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and being active.
