Denise Poudrier Normandin, MA, RD, LD

Denise is the Founder and CEO of Enlighten Nutrition & Wellness, LLC. Throughout her career, Denise has directed and implemented several nationally recognized evidenced/research-based health improvement and wellness programs across multiple settings, worksites, healthcare sites and community sites. She has been invited to present her work at annual scientific conferences including, the American Journal of Health Promotion-Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the American Heart Association Workplace Health Solutions Conference. 

She is a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetics Registration and a Licensed Dietitian through the State of New Hampshire. Denise has achieved Certificates of Training in Weight Management for Adults and Child/Adolescents from the Commission on Dietetics Registration.

In 2016, she was awarded one of the Top 10 Health Promotion Professionals in the United States by the Wellness Council of America. Denise currently serves as the vice-chair of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine-Registered Dietitian Member Interest Group and on the American Heart Association-New Hampshire Board of Directors and provides expertise and volunteer services to projects that support building healthier communities.


Denise earned her Master of Arts degree from Plymouth State University in Personal and Organizational Wellness with a concentration in Personal Approaches to Transformation and Healing. As an undergraduate, Denise studied Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. While at Colorado State, Denise completed practical nutrition experiences with the CSU Rams Division I football team (coached by Sonny Lubick) and the Poudre Valley Hospital cardiac rehabilitation programs. She was a member of the Keene State College field hockey team prior to transferring to CSU.


I focus on a foundation of supportive healthy living approaches (nutrition, physical movement, stress management, rest, and social support systems) and empower individuals and groups to maintain, promote and/or regain control of their health so they can live life to the fullest!

Denise thrives on inspiring nutrition and healthy living practices that make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities to LIVE WELL! She has been a volunteer girls youth lacrosse coach for the Lakes Region Lacrosse Club for 10 years. Inspiring young female athletes to embrace the love of the game, the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and being active.
